    For best results

    • Weak, sputtering spray is a sign the can needs more shaking or more warming.
    • This can is made for orange peel, so pick a knockdown texture for knockdown walls.
    • Spray with a window open and a fan running, and follow the label on the can.

    How to use

    1. Step 1Stand the can in a bowl of warm water, 15 to 20 minutes, to lift its pressure.
    2. Step 2Shake it upside down for one full minute, and keep shaking between bursts.
    3. Step 3Set the pattern and pressure, test on cardboard, then spray the patch.
    4. Step 4Paint the dry texture as it is, with no primer coat.

    About this product

How do you get steady pressure from a pro texture can?

This is the water-based member of the Homax Pro Grade line, made for orange peel repairs on interior walls. Like a hopper gun, it lets you adjust both the pattern and the pressure, but everything sits in one 25 oz can with a grip. You skip the compressor and the mixing, and you skip priming before paint as well.

The can needs some help to spray well. Shake it upside down, hard, for a full minute before you start, and keep shaking as you work. If the spray feels weak, a 15 to 20 minute soak in warm water helps. Cleanup takes water, and the tinted formula is low in odor, which suits a house you are living in.

    Before you start

An aerosol texture can is under pressure and its propellant burns: keep it away from open flame and heat while you spray, air the room, and do not leave a can in a hot car or a sunny window. Sanding the patch first raises fine dust, so wear a dust mask and catch it on a drop cloth.
