The small print
Editorial policy
Where the facts on homax-us.com come from, what we will not claim about the products, and how to report a mistake.
Every page on homax-us.com is written by the editors of this guide. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.
Facts about the products
Can sizes, coverage, dry and cure times, bases, grades and pack counts are taken from the product data and the label of each item, one product at a time. A figure printed for one product is never carried over to another: if a can does not state its coverage, its page prints no coverage.
Photographs show the products as they are sold. Pictures with slogans, arrows or figures printed over them stay off the site. The film on the home page is cut from footage of the products in use.
What we do not claim
We do not speak for Homax Products or PPG Industries. We do not promise that a patch will be invisible, that a refinished tub will last a set number of years or that a can will cover more than its label says. Where a page talks about fumes, aerosols, old ceilings or old paint, it names the source, and the source is linked from our guides.
Corrections
If a figure, a price or a sentence here is wrong, write to patchdesk@homax-us.com. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
